Abel Mouton
Abel Mouton is a singer, songwriter, musician, and political activist living in San Francisco's Mission District, widely acknowledged as the second hippest neighborhood on Earth. ("Where is the first hippest neighborhood?" you may ask. Probably where you live!)
Abel began his musical career in the 1980s as bassist, writer, and arranger for Mendocino County's popular dance band Public Sector. When Public Sector broke up, Abel sang and played bass for the Fistful of Yen, a band noted for its ability to clear a dance floor packed with people having a great time within three songs of taking the stage. When the Fistful broke up, Abel spent years pursuing other interests.
After failing as a small business owner, failing as a politician and failing as a jazzman, (none of which he has completely given up on in his heart of hearts), Abel has returned to his first love, writing and performing pop songs. Deadpan Rambler is his first album of semi-original songs. Abel Mouton wrote this bio himself in the third person.
